Each holiday brings a new something to be grateful for. Each day brings a new experience. Over the week of Thanksgiving I had the opportunity to go to Disney World — also known as the most magical place on Earth. This is undeniably true. I got sick my last day there, but this couldn’t muddle the fact that I was in the creation of a dreamer such as myself, Mr. Walt Disney. He wasn’t even alive to see the opening of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. However, he had a team of people who had faith in him and believed in his dream. Because of this, Disney World is still a raving success.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is director David Yates’s sixth installment in the Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts franchise. It follows Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) who wants to have his international travel privileges reinstated; however, after the events of the first “Fantastic Beasts,” he is constantly denied. He is unwillingly pulled into the fight against Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) and his evil forces. He must quickly choose where his allegiance lies — or the consequences could be catastrophic.

“Venom” is director Ruben Fleischer’s (Zombieland) theatrical adaptation of the comic book character, of the same name. It follows disgraced reporter Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) whose life is turned upside down by Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed). Eddie becomes bonded with an alien symbiote named Venom. This plunges him into the middle of an alien conflict. Venom is traditionally an adversary of Spider-Man. Due to legal reasons, Spider-Man is not in the film.

Lately I’ve been thinking about movies I might dare consider to be my favorites. I don’t know if the season of fall has drawn me to dwell on such things. Maybe it was my co-worker who caused me to think more about it when he quizzed me one night on just about my favorite anything. At one point he wanted to know what my all-time favorite movie was.

Man on the Street: Do You Believe in Life After Death?

Katie Funderburk and Morgan Harberson
Broadcast Editor and Reporter

“I do believe in life after death because I, for one, was raised in church my whole life and my mother had cancer when I was a child. She was put into remission. I also had cancer when I was 15 and was put into remission shortly after I was diagnosed. I have had many family who I have seen miracles through them. I just know in my heart that there is life after death.”

Review: 'Disenchantment', Audiences left with mixed feelings

John Alexander Nunnery
Reporter

“Disenchantment” is a new show that premiered on Netflix on Aug. 17, 2018. It is the third animated show created by Matt Groening. His previous work includes the titles of “The Simpsons” and “Futurama.” Taking place in Medieval times, “Disenchantment” takes a drastic turn away from Groening’s other work. The show is intended to be a parody of the fantasy genre. To many fans, the show has a lot to live up to because of the quality of his previous work.

Video Game Review: 'We Happy Few' lives up to hype

Video Game Review: 'We Happy Few' lives up to hype

“We Happy Few” grabbed the attention of many people. Who wouldn’t want to be trapped in post-war-dystopian-level-1960s Britain with only a semi-effective happy pill to get you through your day? Compulsion Games had a lot going on when developing this game, and many people feared the outcome. I, on the other hand, had my hopes rather high. Surprisingly, I was not completely disappointed
