“I do believe in life after death because I, for one, was raised in church my whole life and my mother had cancer when I was a child. She was put into remission. I also had cancer when I was 15 and was put into remission shortly after I was diagnosed. I have had many family who I have seen miracles through them. I just know in my heart that there is life after death.”

“Disenchantment” is a new show that premiered on Netflix on Aug. 17, 2018. It is the third animated show created by Matt Groening. His previous work includes the titles of “The Simpsons” and “Futurama.” Taking place in Medieval times, “Disenchantment” takes a drastic turn away from Groening’s other work. The show is intended to be a parody of the fantasy genre. To many fans, the show has a lot to live up to because of the quality of his previous work.

The smell of freshly popped popcorn fills the air. The sound of the voices— partially muffled by the pane of glass in front of them— surround everything. The area is abuzz with excited chatter from people waiting in line to gain their admission and those who already have. While this scene may seem like it is straight out of a movie, it is actually the opposite — it’s the theater during the summer movie season, when kids are out of school, and big-budget movies hit the screens.
