MUW has now launched the Lunch Express workout series, which features 30-minute workout sessions that are held during lunch hours.

The classes are free and open to MUW faculty, staff and students. The classes were added after a survey given to faculty and staff earlier this semester. Classes that are currently being offered are core, yoga and PiYo classes, which is a mixture of Pilates and yoga.

The classes offer participants an opportunity to get in a quick workout, change and still have time to grab lunch.  Classes are held Monday through Thursday at noon in Cochran Hall, Room 303.

“I have enjoyed the core and yoga classes, and it’s great that I can get a great workout in a short period of time,” said Anika Perkins, director of University Relations.

“I love that the classes are also available to students. I live off campus, and I have a gap in between classes, so being able to fit in a quick workout to get me through the wait is great. With me being a health major, I am really cautious of my health, and I look forward to exercising. The classes are fun and quick. When I finish I still have time to grab a bite to eat without rushing to my class,” said Amber Riley, a health and kinesiology major.
