This month, the MUW campus will be bustling with talented writers who are taking part of the 25th annual Eudora Welty Writers Symposium. The series is a three-day event that recognizes the works of alumna who have found success writing fiction and non-fiction novels. The highlight of the event will be the Welty Gala.

The Welty Gala is an annual fundraiser for the Eudora Welty chair in humanities. The symposium authors will be treated to a cocktail reception and the alumni, students from the Ina E. Gordy Honors College and the community will be served a three-course dinner supplied by Sodexo Dining Services.

This year the speaker is Po Bronson, No. 1 New York Times Best Seller. Bronson has written five books that have been translated into 18 languages. His book, “What should I Do With My Life,” stayed on the bestsellers top 10 list for over nine months.
