Now that London Fashion Week is finally over, we now have Milan Fashion Week to recap.  Everyone was excited about London’s big fashion week, but Milan tops them all.

Milan Fashion Week finished its last show on Sept. 23, and as the fashion teams pack up and head to Paris to kick off the fourth round of Fashion Week, there’s no time like now to round up the 15 best runway looks from Milan Fashion Week.

This year there were several noteworthy trends on the catwalks to keep in mind as people begin to fill their closets with warm weather staples for the next year. Skin is in.

MUW students form dance group

Mississippi University for Women’s dance group Audacity has plans for another exciting year of performances.

In less than one year, Audacity has made quite a name for itself both on campus and outside of it. The group officially started in November of 2013, but plans for creating a dance group were discussed in the summer of that year.

Versatile, useful and often misunderstood, a major in communication can lead to many places.

 

According to the article “Why Communications Majors Might Have More Choices in Life,” on Collegerecruiter.com, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics lists more career opportunities for communication graduates than for graduates from any other major. These include journalism, public relations, marketing and television.

 

Faculty Spotlight: Dayla Raths

Columbus, Miss., is home away from home for Mississippi University for Women’s newest resident director, Dayla Raths. She is here at MUW as a full time resident director after graduating from Roanoke College in Salem, Va. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in Spanish. Raths explained how she landed an opportunity at MUW and how it has changed her life.
