The Owls softball team has had a great season up to this point, sporting a record of 13 wins and 10 losses while being undefeated in conference play with eight wins and zero losses.

The Owls have also been incredibly impressive on offense this year, with a team batting average of .321, with seven total hitters coming in with an average of over .300.

Addison Owen leads the pack for the Owls with a batting average of .526, which is an unheard-of number to be reached.  OPS (On Base Plus Slugging %) is one of the best statistics we have for measuring the offensive efficiency of a team and the Owls team OPS is 846, which is far above what you would expect from an average offensive team output.

There have also been some standout performances from the mound this season, with Rachel Ethridge appearing eight times while keeping an ERA under two at 1.69.  Another impressive statistic from the Owls is that they have only given up six home runs as a team all season.

As the Owls wind down their season, we want to encourage students to come out and support them as they move towards making a run in the playoffs.

The Owls have a conference record of 2-1 so far as the season winds down, and the team heads towards the Upper Midwest Athletic South Tournament today.
