‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’ (1992)

Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of ‘Dracula’ is everything you could ask for in a gothic vampire thriller. Full of incredible practical effects, stunning cinematography and masterful editing, Coppola’s ‘Dracula’ is the pinnacle of Bram Stoker adaptations.

‘Nope’ (2022)

This was the first horror movie I ever saw in theaters. At that time, I was still trying to figure out what kind of horror I liked, and ‘Nope’ was a movie packaged up of everything that got me genuinely scared. This is one of my favorite horror films because it is so unique with its concept and story, and I will always be the first one to recommend it.

‘Halloween’ (1978)

My favorite Halloween movie is, ironically enough, ‘Halloween.’ Watching Michael Myers terrorize people keeps me on the edge of my seat for the entirety of the movie.

‘The Batman’ (2022)

With it beginning on October 31st, this film is filled with gothic and dark elements that make it the perfect Halloween movie for me. Watch it in the dark, listen as the music leaves you covered in chills, and let this borderline horror flick be your Halloween choice.

‘Practical Magic’ (1998)

When I was asked to choose a Halloween movie, so many different ones came to mind. The one I could not get out of my head was ‘Practical Magic.’ You just cannot go wrong with sisterhood, Stevie Nicks and salt over your left shoulder.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ (1999)

I love this movie because of the atmospheric setting and beautiful period costumes. The chemistry between Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci is what makes this movie great.
