Movie Review: "The Perfect Guy"

As September rolls along, there are a lot of great films showing in theaters. The top movies showing at local theaters are: "The Perfect Guy," "War Room," "The Visit," and "A Walk in the Woods." So far, "The Perfect Guy" has earned more than $25.9 million at the box office.

"The Perfect Guy" is a suspenseful thriller that features an all-star cast, including actress Sanaa Lathan, in addition to actors Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut.

The storyline revolves around Leah Vaughn (Lathan). She has a successful career and a loving relationship; she seems to have it all. The relationship hits a turning point when Dave (Chestnut), her boyfriend, denies her plans for marriage and a family. The consequential break-up leaves Leah heartbroken.

While on the rebound from her recent break-up, Leah meets the charming and seductive Carter Duncan (Ealy). She is instantly drawn to his charm and soon develops an intense connection towards him.

Eventually, Leah realizes that Carter has a dangerous temper and acts in undeniable rage. After Leah decides to step away from him, Carter proceeds to destroy Leah's life and reputation.

The movie is definitely the thriller of the year. It will leave you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next.

It is a must-see. Michael Ealy is phenomenal as he plays the insane and terrifying Carter Duncan. The movie will leave you satisfied and reminds you to be careful who you let into your heart and personal secrets. 

After all, you cannot judge a book by its cover.
